It has been a while since I have posted. That’s because I’m working on a new story. A story that has me really excited. It’s going be to be based on emails or written entirely through the lens of emails. I’ve done a lot of work so far but even I am getting confused and I’m writing it.
I am looking at it through the point of view of student who initially challenges an academic grade but things (hopefully) manifest to a point that the student’s emails become more serious or ridiculous. Depending on which slant you take.
I hope that people stick by the student who I have aged at mid thirties. He (or she) and their country of origin isn’t important. I’m hoping won’t be important but the information they provide to the reader. I’m hoping will again be both serious and funny.
The student has studied in academia. That I know. They got an arts degree but due to circumstances (not grades). Were not able to pursue their passion for teaching. Ideally the student is a teacher or longs to become one.
As I mentioned I am really excited about it. It may be one of my longest short stories. In the process I have also completed a sixteen page story. Which I need to edit and will start submitting for publication in the autumn.
